Read Letter - NO CUTS, Tax the people who can afford more

A letter written to Mr. Greg Weadick, Lethbridge-West
Its about time those foreigners in our prvince pay their fair share. Oil corporations have been given a free ride for too long. They show TENS OF BILLIONS profit every quarter, yet we give then $2 BILLION subsidies every year??? -Alberta royalties are the LOWEST IN THE WORLD! -they pay no property taxes in the tar sands -they don't contribute to the Ft MacMurray city or county tax base -we build their infrastructure, plants and equipment -most of their investors are not even Canadians, never mind Albertans. Their propaganda that they will just move away is just BS -there is no other place to go. That's why more and more international oil corps want to get in on the action here -there is NO BETTER DEAL ELSEWHERE. If Albertans are looking at a deficit its because WE ARE NOT TAXING THE WEALTH ENOUGH. Albertans are the people who should be getting the maximum benefit from our resources, not foreigners. I do not want to see cut backs in Education, Health Care, Senior and Handicapped or Social Services. Before these are cut, I want to see public service manager's and politician's benefits cut. Until that happens I will not believe there is a financial crisis.
