Read Letter - Public Services/Health care
By Jacqueline Anderson
Written Jan. 26, 2010
A letter written to Mr. Broyce Jacobs, Cardston-Taber-Warner
Sir, It is my great concern that the government of Alberta has not sustained the funding for public services and especially health care to ensure that we have the kind of service and care we need. I have seen too many individuals lost or uncared for because there are funding cuts or closiers or cutbacks in services. It is my observation that those who legislate and those who are appointed to officiate on "boards", such as health care and education, feel free to give themselves unwarrented and huge raises. This causes the public to be untrusting of those they have elected and those who have been appointed and hired to handle public services. It is my hope that you will consider the concerns of your constituants and work for us. Please do not try to make excuses for what is going on. We are not ignorant or stupid. We have paid taxes in this province for almost 50 years now and would like to have better public services and especially health care. We have had many negative experiences with the health care system in this province with all the wait times and lack of available doctors. These problems have come about in the last 10 years and we would like to see things turn around again. Members of my family have suffered greatly and needlessly because of the lack of health care services and I am not at all happy with this government. PLEASE DO SOMETHING about these conditions.
