A letter written to Premier Ed Stelmach, Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville
What has happend to our province? We are amazed at the proposed budget cuts that we are hearing about. As seniors, we are very concerned about our welfare down the road. We have worked, paid our taxes and contributed to our community. In turn, we feel we should have earned the respect of our government. It seems to us, when we require care in a ''facility'' -- there will be nothing available for us that will be affordable. We do not expect to be taken by the hand and doted upon when we need elder care, however, we feel we have the expectation that we will be able to afford something that fits into our financial means.
