Read Letter - Concerned for the future........

A letter written to Mr. Greg Weadick, Lethbridge-West
As a bachelor of social work student who will soon be graduating, I am concerned for numerous reasons with the direction that the Alberta Government has chosen to take. Cut backs to public service, tuition hikes, and the current provincial hiring freeze makes my family and I wonder if we will be able to stay in the province after I graduate. Social Workers are in demand across the country but not here in Alberta, it is very likely that we will have to move out of province so I can find employment in my field. It is unfortunate in a province of such wealth and prosperity that more investment is not made in what really counts, our citizens and our communitiies.
